Green Warriors
On Thursday we went to Green Warriors to get our tracking tunnels. They have been down there in the green area for about 2 weeks. I had to go back and to the green to get my tracking tunnel. Finally I found my tracking tunnel because Keith helped me. We put trackers in the green area to find out what kind of animals live in the bush. The tracking tunnels have ink cards inside them and Miss Reid put peanut butter on the card with a knife so the pests come and eat it. Pests are not good for New Zealand birds because they eat the birds which means there will be no birds left. This is why we need to check what pests are in the Green Area. In 2 weeks we will go to see what pests have been through our tracking tunnels.

This year the Envirocouncil have been continuing a project started in 2016. Our aim is for Royal Road School to have an semi-automated compost system that will take care of our food waste and waste paper towels. We are working with a mentor engineer to help with the project.
Creating models of what our composter could look like.
