Richie Patterson comes to Royal Road School
Richie Patterson, an Olympic Gold Weightlifter and Olympic Ambassador visited our Senior Syndicate. He introduced himself and his life story through video and speech, even though we already knew all about him! We learnt that the Olympic Values: Excellence, Respect and Friendship are similar to our Royal Road School SPARK values. The important things we took away were to never give up on our goals and use the power of positive, rather than negative thoughts in our head. He inspired us to start setting our goals and that we can do anything we want to do, if we work hard enough. Our size should never ever discourage us.
