Our school Board of Trustees reaffirms our ongoing and unwavering commitment to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Recent Government changes to the New Zealand Curriculum and associated legislation have removed the requirement for school boards to honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi. While we acknowledge these changes, our board wishes to be clear that this does not change who we are or how we operate.  Royal Road School is proud of our whakapapa, connection to relationships with mana whenua and as a board we are committed to ensuring that Te Tiriti o Waitangi informs our governance and decision making and will continue to honour the principles of Te Tiriti in our work as trustees of the school.
